16 acres of boulders that were formed by the great ice age 20,000 years ago. Surrounded by the forest surrounding the field, the boulders are so heavy and compact, no vegetation is able to live. Yet, beneath the boulders Hickory Run creek is still flowing. A rare spectacle that has been declared as a National Natural Landmark.
